Three hair trends for 2021

Facing a style rut?

A few tweaks here or there with our Cordless Curling Wand and Cordless Curling Iron With Clip are all you need to jump on the bandwagon with these hair trends! While some of these trends appeared last year, they don’t seem to be losing steam anytime soon.

Wear them this spring for a fresh look without the investment!

90s FLIP

This is the easiest trend to emulate. The 90s flip takes almost no time and no learning curve. It looks great on bobs and longer lengths! While the 90s flip is usually known for its outward flick, the 90s were also about tucked-in ends.

Opt for the tucked-in ends for work or class for a polished and simple hairstyle and try the outward flick when you want to let loose and have fun!

Use our Cordless Curling Iron With Clip to go through the sections from the roots with the clip facing outward. Once you get to the ends, curl the iron ever so slightly towards you. Be careful with the ends, especially if you don’t have a blunt hairstyle!

When it comes to styling the outward flick, start flicking about an inch to two inches from your ends. Make sure the clip side is towards you as you flick and take care not to clamp too hard to avoid a crimp in the flick.

Pair the looks with a centre part for a true throwback!

THE SHAG

There is so much freedom in a shag and it’s incredibly flattering and forgiving. Style your hair with the Cordless Curling Wand to get this look. This allover style is easier, thanks to the wand’s cordless capabilities, which makes curling every angle less of a battle!

Curl hair alternating between curling hair towards your face and away from your face to make the shag look natural. Also consider varying how you curl your hair–alternating between flat wrapping hair and twisting hair along the curling wand’s barrel.

For extra credit, try curling the bangs–but be careful doing it!

THE TOUSLED BOB

If it was a long, hard winter–shake it off and part with some length. Whether you take the plunge and cut your hair yourself or head to your hairdresser, it can be a relief to start with a clean slate.

Wearing your bob as is can be great, but a wavy bob is super trendy and just as low maintenance. Use our Cordless Curling Wand to create some movement in your hair, whether that’s through very slight waves to large waves.

Despite the uniform barrel, you can create varied waves with our Cordless Curling Wand. Just vary the way you wrap hair along the barrel, the direction of your curl and the sections that you wrap. And there’s always combing through some sections for sections you want to be less wavy!
