Brush your way to a better weekly hair routine

That Friday feeling! Now that the weekend is once again upon us, it’s time to celebrate with some self-care time!

Or if you like to end the weekend on a good note, wind down with a relaxing hair routine to keep your hair looking great for the week ahead!

Whatever your preference, a great weekly hair routine is important for Zoom meetings, Instagram video chats and online dating!

Do a hair mask

Repair the damage of last week with a hair mask.

One mask a week is a great and easy way to infuse moisture back into your strands. Do a face mask at the same time and an easy task like plan your week while you wait to rinse it off.

Alternatively, you can use a leave-in treatment like a leave-in conditioner to boost hair’s resiliency before transitioning to more moisturizing products ahead of autumn and winter weather. Comb product evenly through your hair with either the paddle brush or mini detangling brush.

Clarify your scalp and hair

Sweaty exercise sessions, dry shampoos and other styling products can weigh hair down. Prepare for another week by stripping it all back. A hard reset with a scalp treatment–such as a scalp scrub–will clear some of the buildup and any dead skin.

A clarifying shampoo will strip hair of any accumulated residue, and readying you for another week of stylish hair.

Clean your brushes

Hair brushing can be a meditative and relaxing experience–but dirty brushes can be a killjoy. Like your makeup brushes, clean your hair brushes with the same frequency. Our paddle brush and mini detangling brush can be easily cleaned by peeling strands off the brush and scrubbing with water and soap.

For a deeper clean, take a toothbrush to vigorously scrub the hairbrush bed with soap and water and leave it out to fully dry.

Tidy your space

Things can get messy after a busy week. Get things ready for another work week by wrangling all your things in place and in clear view.

Root around your vanity and bags for all the hair ties and hair pins that have run away from you. Keep those close at hand–along with brushes, hairspray and the all-important dry shampoo–for seamless mornings!

Recharge

Just like you, our cordless curling wand needs to recharge occasionally.

When the cordless curling wand finally needs a charge, you just need 2-3 hours to fully charge it. The perfect amount of time to read a few magazines, a frothy book or go through a few episodes of your favourite show!

Revamp

Keep things fresh with new looks and techniques. The weekend–or any downtime–is a great opportunity to experiment with curling techniques and hairstyles.

Even something as subtle as switching placement from curling with the wand held down to curling with the wand held upright can be a big difference! Switching how your curl–towards your face or away from your face–can be slight tweaks that might be enough of a change if you don’t want to mess with your hair.
