Carving out space in your (mommy) bag

Bags can be a black hole where things go and never return–especially if you’re a mom. Making room for all our new normal essentials like hand sanitizer, hand cream and your non-medical face mask is a high priority but can fight for space in a bag bursting with stuff.

Read on below for how to downsize your bag and keep yourself safe–and sane.

Keep things organized

Keep baby’s things and your things separate with pouches for each function.

Our pack me up hot tool case is the perfect place to keep all your hair items accessible and together! The case can keep your cordless flat iron or cordless convertible curling iron safe while in transit and keep them together along with a few mobile essentials, like our detangling mini brush, mini hairspray or mini dry shampoo.

Keep it streamlined

When you’re in charge of carrying things for you and the family, things need to be kept to the essentials.

Swap corded hair tools with the hair straightener and convertible curling iron. Both are cordless and can both be used for up to 40 minutes on a full charge!

Both tools have silicone covers to keep the tools protected. The cordless convertible curling iron’s silicone cover can also act as a heat resistant mat when laid out flat for styling that can happen anywhere!

For the days when you want to really pare down, our detangle me mini brush is the perfect little thing to tote around. Bring along some mini dry shampoo if you want to get fresh after an active day with the family.

And get into the practice of stashing a non-medical face mask in your bag for those occasions where you step out the door without one!

Have snacks

Keep snacks at the ready for you and your little ones to keep blood sugar tantrums at bay. Healthy snacks like some fruit and nuts are a perfect way to keep tummies satiated and fights at bay.

Bring entertainment

Have some toys or a book for your little one to keep them happy on longer trips–and bring something for you to take advantage of downtime–to relax, not keep in touch with the office!

Swap the emails for a book. Take a break to read a chapter with Kindle, Libby or Overdrive apps on your phone or tablet. Listen to your favourite podcast while you wait or listen to an audiobook while you pick up your kid from school or whenever you get pockets of downtime.

Make things work double-time

Like you, make sure your things are multifunctional. Instead of carrying a compact, swap it for makeup that houses a mirror, like a powder or blush.

Our cordless tools are just as versatile. The cordless convertible curling wand has an easily removable curling iron attachment.

Our cordless flat iron can also create curly styles. Swap the straight hair to create curly or wavy styles by winding the flat iron around your hair.
