Road Trip Essentials
Itching to get away? A long weekend is the perfect time to go on a road trip! A road trip is a safer option for travel these days whether you’re headed out solo, with friends or with your partner.
Safety is more or less guaranteed! You can stay in your own car, dictate where you stop and stay over and you control who you travel with. It gets hairy are when you’ll be ducking into communal spaces like rest stops, public bathrooms, hotel lobbies or getting into your Airbnb.
Keep the peace
Even if you’re travelling with those you love, a few hours in a car can wear on even the strongest bonds.
Hand over the wheel to curb backseat driving. Don’t have a monopoly on the playlist and have everyone give input on where to eat and sleep to mitigate any explosive arguments.
Trunk travels
While you’re not limited to airline restrictions, keep your pack streamlined. A bloated trunk can also sink a road trip financially, so keep that in mind if you’re travelling a farther distance.
Want to save on space? Just bring a week’s worth of clothes for plenty of options and anticipate doing laundry if you’re going for a longer trip. Minimize toiletries to the essentials.
Our curling wand takes little room in your pack and its cordless ability allows you to use it in the car, on the road and anywhere else! Our paddle brush or detangling mini brush are a great companion to the cordless curling wand. Choose the best brush for your needs or take both if you want to have an option stashed inside the car.
Hotel horrors
Banish a bathroom brawl before it starts. Coordinate with your travelling partners, if you have any, on what you’ll bring. Before you go, coordinate who will bring the Bluetooth speaker, hair dryer and hair styler.
Our cordless curling wand’s titanium barrel is easy to clean and the 1” barrel can create a multitude of looks. If your companion prefers a loose wave and you prefer a tighter curl–or vice versa–taking our curling wand on the road is a no-brainer! If you are a similar skin type, consider bringing one of each item. Except for sunscreen. There’s no such thing as too much sunscreen!
While you can’t use the cordless curling wand at the same time, styling with the wand is quick. There’s little downtime to reach high temperatures and the titanium barrel can conduct heat in a way to provide even curls in less time. It’s perfect for sharing!
It’s best to streamline categories like makeup or items like a hairbrush, since sharing them can be unhygienic. Stick to things that can do double duty like eyeshadow that can also be used for eyeliner and brows or concealer as foundation. Your cream or stick formulations might melt in a car, especially if your trip is farther out. If you’re going somewhere really hot, bring powders or liquids!
And mirrors. Bring your own mirrors!
